Interrogating the Future
07 March 2017, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Virtual Futures presents Near-Future Fictions on the theme of ‘Interrogating the Future.’

How can we develop an alternative discourse to the evangelisation of technology by the tech-elite? Hear stories that comment on technology, science and the future in a ways that both inspires and capture the imagination. In the words of Frederick Pohl, “A good science fiction story should be able to predict not the automobile but the traffic jam.”

Join us for an evening that incorporates original reading, performance and live art as Virtual Futures continues its mission to to reassert the significance of science fiction as a tool for navigating the increasing technologization of society and culture.
